50% discount on the park entrance fees from 15 July to 31 October 2010

The rains are more abundant in Atacora with uneven and asynchronous distribution whose consequences are the interspersed rains between Tanguieta, Batia and the park. Make sure you have a minimum of suitable equipments in case of getting stuck.

Currently, only fans of landscapes and nature could benefit the most from the park visit contrary to fans of the wildlife who may be unsatisfied due to the grass high that no longer allows a very good wildlife observation. Note that the road Tanguieta - hotel Pendjari via Batia is eroded and it’s important not to progress by forcing your vehicle to go on roads that are not safe.

Only the park entrance in Batia is opened. We highly recommend that all visitors use a satellite phone which can be rented in Batia at the park entrance. For an additional safety measure please report in Batia the period of time you will be visiting the park. It is recommended to make reservations via Maison Pendjari to be followed up especially in this period one can get stuck in the park.

Please note that the Pendjari hotel in the park is closed during the raining season but the Camp Numi hostel in Batia offers a range of services throughout the year. Due to the limited space it is best to call ahead and make reservations with Maison Pendjari.
